Your final week notice was not publishing like normal, what is normal right now anyway, so click on the button below. Have a great summer.
All Culinary Students - If you want to take Culinary 2 you must send me an email. I have discovered there are some of you who think you signed up for Culinary 2, but did not send me an email. The system will not put you into a class you already took, so I need to have Mr. Wetherington over ride it for you to get the class. Just a few more students and we will have a class of our own for the first time! We could do so much more! If this is a class you want this class you need to email me asap.
Update May 4 - Zoom Meetings for all students this week. See Remind message sent Monday morning, and/or Chat in MIcrosoft Teams for meeting ID and passwork.
Update 4/18 Ms. McCune sent out this link on how to make sure that assignments you are taking a picture of and sending in can be read by the teacher. I thought it would help. Please check it out.
Update 4/15 I have a new assignment for you. Everyone needs to send me at least one sentence about what you think is the best thing about this class. If you must, you could also include what is the worst. Extra Credit if you make a 5-10 sec video of why other students should take this elective. Send this assignment to me through email or remind. I can't wait to see what you think.
Update 4/14 I really need everyone to go into Microsoft teams assignments each week and complete the contact assignment. It is only 2 questions. This is how you will get your contact points. Also all Culinary Students , if you are contacting me outside of MIcrosoft Teams - either remind or email and are asking me to check on a grade, I need you to put your class period in the subject line of the email, or with your name somehow.
Shout out to 6th grade art students
6th grade class has the highest percentage of students connecting with me and getting assignments turned in - particularly through Microsoft Teams. Way to go 6th graders!
Some of you have been very creative earning extra credit last week - Great job! Keep it up.
April 6 - If you have not read the March 31 update, read it when you finish this update. To access your assignments, go to your webpage for your class and follow instructions. Assignments are also found on Microsoft Teams and are easy to turn in from there. Follow the instructions in either of these places. When you get in touch with me, especially culinary, give me your class period as well. Please completely read all updates on here and class notebook. Most of the questions that I have been getting are answered there, just read carefully. If I do not respond to you within a day, I did not get it, resend.
Update March 31 - My office hours will be from 8:30-10:30 Mon-Fri. The best way to contact with me is remind as it pings my watch. The second best way will be by email [email protected]. You must contact me at least once per week.
Update March 31 - Art Students - If you haven't already picked up your bin and projects - Email or send a remind message to me if you would like your materials delivered to the school office for pickup. I will then have your materials to the office before Friday, April 3. The office is open from 8-3 pm. If I do not hear from you , I will not take your materials to the office. This notification will count for your grade this week.
Update March 29 - I will begin posting class specific updates on the opening page for your class - see tabs above. I do plan on working through Microsoft Office Teams. All students need to go to your opening page for your specific update.
Have a GREAT SPRING BREAK - stay well, wash your hands, and enjoy this extra time off, but also please keep our community healthy participating in the self-quarantine. You know how much I love to travel, every spring break I am somewhere else. This year I am home. I am getting home projects completed, cooking things I haven't had the time to cook (macarons for one), I have wanted to try homemade marshmallows for several years, this break it will happen. I am going to work on art projects that have been stacking up. I am working on my genealogy. I will periodically check my school email, so you can send me messages there.
Update 3-22- regular spring break is over, extended spring break here we come. To keep us not feeling so isolated I will update on this site. Stop back by, I will update more regularly that normal. Check your class page for pictures or lesson ideas. Know that I do miss interacting with you so you can always send an email. Go wash your hands and stay well. Mrs. S.
Update 3-25 Both art classes are mid-project. I am willing to go into school so you can pick them up and pick up your art bins. Watch in the next few days for a survey as to the best time to accommodate this. I will update classes on their opening page, click on art above for the opening page and watch for instructions from there. Today what is new from earlier in the week is pictures from our last couple of project. Please be well, I will watch email for communication. I will check first thing in the morning, and again in the evening..
I came across a website you may want to check out, classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome/grades-6-12.html. You may find some interesting articles, I know I did.
